Sandy Point Ltd Edition Giclee on Canvas - 2 Panels

Sandy Point is one of my favorite fishing spots in the Bahamas. When I got the commission to paint a scene of cool, clear tropical water, I knew where I had to go. First of all, because I have part ownership in Blackfly Lodge in Abaco Bahamas, this was the easiest choice of where to start. After 3 days on the water and lots of photos, I ended up in Sandy Point, some 15 miles south of the Lodge, thinking maybe the shoreline there might give me the 'Island Palm Tree' shot I needed. My customer wanted a two part canvas that was to wrap around at 90 degrees to each other in the corner of a dining room. Each panel was to be 5 feet wide.  A 10 foot painting requires some rigging to keep things from moving around so that they actually fit together when you're finished. Hung together on the same wall they are (almost) seamless.
